Summer Camps 2026!
Mob City coaches and volunteers will running two summer camps at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate to get your young skaters ready for roller derby! Registration is now open!
We will be offering derby camp for two levels. Intro to Roller Derby is from 8:30am-12:30pm. NO DERBY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We will focus on the skating skills and derby basics you need to get started in Roller Derby. Some skating experience is required, you should be able to skate one full lap around the rink without assistance.
Modified Contact Camp is for returning roller derby skaters with at least one season of roller derby experience. Modified Contact camp has no hitting but focuses on positional blocking, derby strategy, and teamwork (this is equal to level 2 roller derby as defined by JRDA).

Registration opens for all teams; Goons (New Skater Camp), Punks, and Misfits on August 1, 2026! Check back for more registration details. You may register your skater for their previous team, even if they plan to assess for a higher level!

New Team Assessments and Misfits Charter Tryouts start August 23!
Mark your calendars for August 23rd and August 30th. Assessments for Punks (level 2 positional roller derby) and Misfits (level 3 full contact roller derby) will be held on August 23rd at the Northgate Community Center in North Seattle. Assessments are open to anyone (ages 7-18, all genders) who has completed a new skater camp or at least one season of roller derby at any league. Misfits Charter tryouts will be on August 30th, and require previous level 3 (full contact) roller derby experience.
Schedule:
August 23rd @ 3:30pm – Punks team tryouts. Any skater who has completed New Skater Camp (or has similar experience) is welcome to come assess for the Punks (level 2 positional only)!
August 23rd @ 5pm – Misfits team tryouts. Previous punks or skaters with at least one full season of level 2 (positional roller derby) experience are welcome to come and assess for the Misfits, our level 3 (full contact) roller derby team.
August 30th @ 3:30pm – All team make-up session. If you missed assessments on August 23rd and would like to assess for either the punks or misfits, please come at this time.
August 30th @ 5pm – Misfits travel & charter team tryouts. All current Misfits, or transfer skaters with charter team experience, are welcome at this practice. If you have level 3 (full contact) experience with another team but have not played on a charter, please attend the August 23rd practice at 5pm if possible.

New Skater Camp: October 2026!
New Skater Camps are open to aspiring derby players and anyone who wants to become a better skater. Learn stops, safe falls, stride, crossovers, backward skating, and transitions with our fun, knowledgeable coaching staff.
Camps run for 10 weeks and meet on Sundays, 2–3:30 pm at the Northgate Community Center. You can find more information here.

Returning for the third year, the Rainy Season Rumble tournament will feature ten local teams from across Washington and Oregon in a battle of the best of the Pacific Northwest! Applications for teams will be available in July, please check back.
The tournament is co-hosted by Mob City Junior Roller Derby and Jet City Roller Derby and will be held at the Everett Community College gym March , 2027.
