The Mob City Misfits (Skill Level III)
Our Misfits team plays JRDA Level III, full-contact roller derby. Misfits skaters have demonstrated athletic proficiency and an understanding of the rules of flat track roller derby. Misfits focus on higher level derby and skating skills, control, leadership, and teamwork. Misfits play in JRDA Regulation and Sanctioned games within the Junior Roller Derby Association.
Misfits skaters are given opportunities for leadership within the team and the league and are expected to encourage and assist the development of their lower-level league mates as well as to be overall ambassadors for Mob City and Junior Roller Derby.
Skaters within the Misfits program are eligible (although not required) to compete for a spot on the Mob City Charter team, which regularly travels regionally, nationally, and into Canada to compete in Sanctioned games and tournaments, in addition to participating in our local competitive season.
Misfits practice twice a week: Sunday evenings at Northgate Community Center, and Wednesday evenings at Lynnwood Bowl and Skate.
JRDA Level III skaters wishing to transfer into our Misfits Program should email coaches@mobcitymisfits.com to schedule an orientation and assessment.
